Besok, Israel Dihapus dari Internet!…Seraya menunggu hari peringatan peristiwa Holocaust pada 7 April 2013, Israel pun harus bersiap untuk dihapus dari internet tepat pada tanggal tersebut.Israel kini tengah menghadapi apa yang telah digambarkan sebagai pertempuran internet terbesar dalam sejarah umat manusia, yang menjanjikan untuk menghapus Israel dari peta internet.Serangan kini tengah disiapkan para peretas yang berada dalam misi OpIsrael, yang berafiliasi dengan kelompok ‘hacktivist’ terkemuka, Anonymous.

Pada akhir pekan ini telah direncanakan serangan cyber pada pemerintah, bank, lembaga akademik dan situs bisnis di Israel yang berupa peretasan seperti database yang dihapus dan lainnya sebagai lanjutan dari serangan serupa pada November 2012.

Gelombang kedua dari misi OpIsrael ini telah diprakarsai dari sebulan yang lalu, dengan pernyataan dari kelompok peretas tersebut pada minggu ini untuk pemerintah Israel, seperti diwartakan IBtimes.

“Kalian tidak berhenti melanggar hak manusia yang tak ada habisnya. Kalian tidak berhenti melakukan pemukiman ilegal. Kalian tidak menghormati gencatan senjata. Kalian telah menunjukkan bahwa kalian tidak menghormati hukum internasional”.

“Inilah sebabnya pada 7 April, para elite cyber-squadron kami dari seluruh dunia memutuskan untuk bersatu dalam sebuah solidaritas untuk rakyat Palestina terhadap Israel sebagai satu entitas untuk diganggu dan dihapus dari dunia maya.”

Namun, Israel disebut tidak asing dengan berbagai serangan cyber seperti ini. November silam Menteri Luar Negeri Israel, Yuval Steinitz mengungkapkan bahwa Israel telah menghadapi 44 juta serangan cyber sejak awal operasi militernya di Gaza.

Selain meningkatkan keamanan pada infrastruktur, Israel Internet Association (ISOC) disebut tengah mempersiapkan untuk menanggapi keluhan dari warga sipilnya terkait serangan tersebut.

Misi OpIsrael ini akan terdiri dari serangkaian serangan cyber yang disebut DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service), dengan menggunakan jaringan komputer yang sangat besar untuk bekerja sama mendorong traffic ke server hosting dari situs yang menjadi target.

Walaupun Israel mengaku siap menghadapi serangan cyber ini yang dipandang tidak cukup ‘menakutkan’ bagi mereka, namun serangan demi serangan yang dilakukan sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa kelompok peretas ini memiliki strategi lain selain DDoS.

Kelompok peretas ‘hacktivist’ yang terkait dengan Anonymous, RedHack dari Turki dan Sector404 dari Arab menyatakan mereka berhasil menjebol pertahanan cyber dari Mossad, dan mencuri data dari 30 ribu agen rahasianya.

New Musical Express, Alternative Press, Metal Hammer and countless other publications have recognized what the worldwide underground has long known: Parkway Drive has perfected the special blend of heavy histrionics and crowd-participation-inducing connectivity so many bands aspire toward yet too few achieve. The band’s fourth album, Atlas, may conjure the image of the classic muscle-bound man of the same name balancing the weight of the Earth on his shoulders… But Parkway Drive has the world in their palm.

Killing with a Smile grabbed the attention of the group’s peers in North America and Europe in 2005 even as it catapulted Parkway Drive to be the standard bearers of Metalcore in their native Australia. By the time Horizons arrived two years later, Parkway had gone from being a “band’s band” outside their home territory to a force to be reckoned with alongside the genre’s biggest stars. Nonstop touring and the continued development of one of the rare groups whose lineup has defied genre convention by barely ever fracturing resulted in 2010’s Deep Blue, which cracked the Top 40 in America and debuted at #2 in Australia, where it eventually went gold and won an ARIA award.

In a 2010 cover story, metal tastemaker Kerrang! declared Parkway Drive “The Band You Need To Hear Right Now!,” going on to write, “Want one band to get excited about and believe in? It’s time to get acquainted with the Aussie metalcore mob Parkway Drive.”

Throughout their career, Parkway Drive has worked with the best and brightest producers in the field, including Killswitch guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz (Underoath, Shadows Fall, Unearth) and Joe Baressi (Tool, Coheed and Cambria, Bad Religion). For “Atlas”, the band convened in Los Angeles with Matt Hyde (Slayer, Children Of Bodom, Hatebreed) to craft their most defining work, assembling the most important components of what’s come before with brand new elements and flavour.

On Atlas, Parkway Drive has achieved an improbable victory that so often eludes bands: they’ve retained the classic elements of their sound while broadening their horizons with new textures and dynamics. Parkway Drive has managed to avoid being stale, to evolve, without compromising their identity. My Chemical Romance Resmi Bubar

New Jersey – Akhir pekan lalu, tepatnya pada Jumat (22/3), tersiar kabar bahwa kawanan pop punk asal New Jersey, AS, My Chemical Romance resmi bubar. Kabar ini disiarkan langsung oleh band dengan sebuah pengumuman di laman resmi mereka, mychemicalromance.com.

“Being in this band for the past 12 years has been a true blessing. We’ve gotten to go places we never knew we would. We’ve been able to see and experience things we never imagined possible. We’ve shared the stage with people we admire, people we look up to, and best of all, our friends. And now, like all great things, it has come time for it to end. Thanks for all of your support, and for being part of the adventure.” My Chemical Romance.

“Berada di band ini untuk dua belas tahun lamanya telah menjadi sebuah berkah. Kami telah bepergian ke tempat-tempat yang kami tidak pernah tahu. Kami telah dapat menyaksikan dan mengalami hal-hal yang tidak pernah kami bayangkan itu mungkin. Tulisan pun berlanjut dengan sebuah penutup yang menyimpulkan bahwa band yang berusia dua belas tahun ini telah berakhir.

“Dan kini, seperti semua hal-hal besar lainnya, telah datang saatnya untuk mengakiri (band ini). Terima kasih atas semua dukungan, dan untuk menjadi bagian dari petualangan ini,” lanjut tulisan tersebut.

Kabar ini lantas ditegaskan kembali oleh sang vokalis, Gerard Way, dalam sebuah kicauan panjang di akun Twitternya, @gerardway. Dari penjelasan tersebut Gerard menyatakan kesedihannya atas bubarnya MCR dengan sebuah tulisan panjang dan abstrak.

Masih menurut narasi panjang tersebut, Gerard tak hanya menyatakan apa yang ia rasakan atas berakhirnya My Chemical Romance. Ia juga mengungkapkan harapan di masa depan serta ucapan terima kasih untuk para personil dan kru juga para penggemar band yang melejit berkat album Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge ini.

Masih belum jelas apa penyebab bubarnya My Chemical Romance, namun seperti dilansir Kerrang, bubarnya band ini bukan disebabkan oleh perselisihan antar personel.

Sementara itu menurut sumber lainnya, NME menduga bahwa usainya band berjuluk MCR ini disebabkan oleh pemikiran Gerard yang telah bergeser tentang musik mereka.

Hal ini disimpulkan situs berita Inggris tersebut berdasarkan pernyataan implisit Gerard melalui tulisan panjang sang pentolan di Twitter. Tulisan itu berbicara tentang perasaan Gerard saat berada di sebuah konser di New Jersey pada 19 Mei tahun lalu.

“Saya (merasa) kosong, berhenti mendengarkan musik, tak pernah mengambil pensil lagi (untuk menulis lagu), mulai terselip pada kebiasaan lama lagi,” tulis Gerard dalam tulisan itu. Tak dijelaskan apa kebiasaan lama yang dimaksud, namun sebagai informasi, Gerard pernah berjuang melawan kecanduannya terhadap alkohol dan obat-obatan terlarang sampai 2004.

Di lain pihak, saudara kandung Gerard yang juga merupakan bassist My Chemical Romance, Mikey Way juga melakukan konfirmasi atas rumor yang beredar bahwa pembubaran ini disebabkan oleh perceraian yang dialami Mikey awal tahun ini.

“Sebagai catatan, hubungan (pernikahan) saya sama sekali tidak ada hubungannya dengan apa yang baru saja terjadi (bubarnya band). Semua itu benar-benar hal yang terpisah,” terang Mikey melalui akun Twitternya @mikeyway, Minggu (24/3) kemarin.

Sebelum menyatakan pecah kongsi, dalam pemberitaan sebelumnya, My Chemical Romance dikabarkan sedang mempersiapkan sebuah rilisan yang berisi sepuluh lagu lama yang belum pernah dirilis sama sekali ke hadapan publik.

Kumpulan sepuluh lagu tersebut mereka beri nama Conventional Weapons, dan direkam saat rekaman album keempat, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.
